The book summarises modern studies of the specificity of linguistic means of perceptual processes representation. The researchers focus on the verbalisation of the poet's individual perception in the poetic discourse and argue that the totality of linguistic markers creating perceptual images in poetic texts forms its semantic structure and reflects the poet's individual style and lexicon, thus embodying certain fragments of the national picture of the world. The research is based on works of the Silver Age poets: V. Soloviev, B. Pasternak, M. Tsvetaeva, A. Akhmatova, O. Brezina. The book is the result of a fruitful cooperation between the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic) and the Russian Language Department of Tomsk State University (Tomsk, Russia).
