The present work focuses on the analysis of Russian historiography devoted to the personality of M.N. Katkov. The author elaborates upon the main achievements and problems of Russian historical school connected with the study of political history of Russia of the 19th century and the conservative views in particular, and offers some ways of overcoming those problems. The study also includes the analysis of public priorities and ideologies of different periods and their influence upon the development of Russian historiographic school.Key words: M.N. The article is devoted to studying of the organizations, societies and commissions connected with the Ob-Yenisei waterway. These entities managed, controlled and financed the construction and maintenance of the waterway. THE SOCIAL SITUATION AND SHARPENING OF THE POLITICAL STRUGGLE IN THE BALTIC COLONIES IN SIBERIA IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1920s. The author explores on the great scientific material the processes of the social stratification and the political struggle in the Baltic settlements in Siberia in the second half of the 1920-th years. The author has come to the conclusion that the majority of the individual farms of the Baltic peasants in Siberia were in the frames not capitalist but small-scale commodity production. But the prolongation of the new economic politics could lead to the development of the market economy.Key words: colonist, Siberia, Baltic peoples, political struggle.P. 32. Sotnikova E.V. THE PROBLEM OF MUSIC AND DRAMATIC EDUCATION IN SIBERIA IN THE 1920s. The article is devoted to the problem of music and dramatic education as the cultural wealth component of the person. The problem consideration is based on the archival documents of Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk regions, as well as on Siberian periodicals of the 1920s. In the 1920s these establishments applied a holistic and indivisible approach to professional training, education and enlightenment. The conservatories of that period deserve to be subjected in criticism in many respects of professional training, whereas they appear worthy of more attention as the centers of music education and enlightenment.Key words: culture, music and dramatic education, enlightenment, conservatory, Drama School.P. 38. Mahtsieva N.S. TRADE UNIONS OF NORTHERN OSSETIA DURING FORMATION OF A NATIONAL AUTONOMY. In the article the author on the basis of a documentary material has shown many-sided activity of trade unions of Northern Ossetia in the end of the regenerative period. These years are especially significant for history of trade unions as they have begun work in new conditions of administrative transformations, when Northern Ossetia for the first time has received the autonomy and became a part of the North - Caucasian edge. The author pays much attention to the reorganization of trade unions and to their role in the restoration of the national economy destroyed during the civil war.Keywords: Northern Ossetia, trade union, national autonomy.P. 46. Stepanov M.G. CRIMINAL PROSECUTION OF CITIZENS OF THE USSR ON POLITICAL GROUNDS DURING THE PREMILITARY AND MILITARY PERIODS (1939-1945): THE REVIEW OF THE POST-SOVIET SIBERIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY. The review of the post-Soviet Siberian historiography to the devoted problem of criminal prosecution of citizens of the USSR on political grounds during the pre-war and war-time periods (1939-1945) is given. In the article the attempt to generalize the experience of the activity of the Soviet societies of friendship and cultural relations with the countries of Asia in development and strengthening of the international collaboration of Irkutsk region is undertaken. PROBLEMS OF TEACHING HISTORIC DISCIPLINESP. 85. Senyukova N.L. SYLLABUS OF A COURSE «BASICS OF SCIENTIFIC PROJECTING OF MUSEUM EXPOSITIONS». The syllabus has been developed to teach the basic approaches to the scientific projecting of museum expositions to the students specializing in museum studies (specialty 021000). The syllabus envisages a theoretic component and practical assignments as well as visits to museums of different profiles. It has been developed on the basis of the Federal Standard for Higher Professional Education approved by the Russian Ministry of Education on March 14, 2000 (federal registration № 58, humanities). The theoretical component has been structured thematically. The practical component aims at teaching the students how to develop museum expositions and prepare the necessary documents. This part of the course is connected with the students' visits to museum expositions and fulfillment of practical assignments.Key words: museum studies, syllabus, lecture course.IV.
