Scientific project on the rationale of theoretical methodological bases of the ethno-social, inclusive educational space of the university
Since the 1990s in Russia, under the influence of foreign social work, the development of ideas of the social model of disability and inclusion in the educational environment began. Any experience and theory can not be borrowed automatically, without reference to national characteristics and traditions. The medical model of disability, based on direct assistance and support, was understandable and fit within the national consciousness. A social model that requires a person with a disability to determine the vector of his development required time and the solution of many issues, including creating an expensive barrier-free environment and changing views in the mass consciousness. However, even a clear understanding of the ideas of inclusion requires the development of many issues, including the adoption of new laws, the removal of social barriers, changes in the educational space, and the substantiation of theoretical and methodological approaches. At the present stage, many authors recognize the need for proactive strategies in this area in specific educational institutions. At the same time, in connection with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the aggravation of the interethnic sphere of relations, the topic of building interethnic and ethno-cultural dialogue, especially in the youth and student environment, became topical. The lack of generally accepted concepts in this field draws attention to the ideas of interculturalism, which is oriented toward the priority of civic values, the existence of common interests of different nationalities, united by civil responsibility for their country. The article analyzes the content of the scientific project, which is carried out by the research group of the scientific educational center of the Humanitarian faculty of the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics. The purpose of the project: rationalization of the theoretical and methodological foundations and interdisciplinary approaches in the formation of the ethno-social, inclusive educational space of the university. This topic is developed on the basis of the theory and practice of social work in terms of justifying explanatory theories of real problems. During the implementation of the project, the correlation between the concepts of inclusion and exclusion in students' views was studied at the analytical stage. As a result of sociological research and the application of methods of psychology, it was revealed that exclusion is quite common, but most students are oriented towards overcoming the vulnerability of personal conditions and conformism. The phenomenon of inclusion and exclusion also manifests itself in the sphere of interethnic interaction within the framework of the university space. A survey conducted in academic groups revealed mainly a tolerant perception of ethnic cultures, but also recorded the existence of ethno-egoism and ethno-isolationism in about 20% of respondents. To overcome discriminating tendencies and optimize the educational space, it is necessary to find new approaches for constructing a new reality in which equality and equal opportunities will become the leading principles.
