INTERACTIVE EDUCATION AS A RESPONSE TO CHANGES OF COGNITIVE NEEDS AND ABILITIES OF POST-INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY PEOPLE
Thanks to the satisfaction of cognitive needs humanity achieves scientific, technological and social progress. When technological innovations are implemented and the society hasn't adapted it yet, or in a reverse situation when social development surpasses technical one and there is a need for new technologies, social crisis appears and slows down development of society. Nowadays this type of crisis is in education field. In101Д.А. Переводчиковаthe education system there is a relevant problem connected with its inadequacy to new cognitive needs and opportunities of pupils and students. New cognitive needs of modern people are based on the practical application of the knowledge, while cognitive capabilities are constantly growing. The current generation is significantly different from the previous one in the aspect of cognitive needs and opportunities. This is confirmed by Marc Prensky theory, which is about of the division of society into digital natives and digital immigrants. In the field of education, which it is based on a joint cognitive activity of people of different generations, there is a conflict of digital natives and immigrants. The solution of the conflict is the way to overcome the social crisis and return to a stable development of the society. In the results of educational practices review it has been identified that interactive teaching methods allow adopt learning to modern requirements.For students interactivity means interaction with the teacher, with each other and with the studying object by the use of modern technologies. This technique ensures a successful assimilating of the information by distinguishing it from the general flow of information surrounding the modern people in the post-industrial era. The study of this method and its testing in educational practice allows us to pass to a new stage of social development, increasing the efficiency of the educational activities at the present stage, and bringing it in compliance with the requirements of modern life.
