Performance of a selective failure mode transport protocol under conditions of contention for the bandwidth of the data transmission path
An indicator model of a transport connection is proposed for the selective failure mode under conditions of competition between different subscriber connections for the bandwidth of the transmitting path. The operation of a transport connection is described by a two-dimensional Markov chain with discrete time and a finite number of states. The contention indicator is the queues of competitive data flows in the transit nodes of the transport connection with the given parameters. The analysis of the available bandwidth in various conditions of rivalry is carried out. Contribution of the authors: the authors contributed equally to this article.
