Communicative tactics of creating headlines in british newspapers
The objective of the research is to define some of the communicative tactics aimed at creating effective headlines in British newspapers. Headliners (writers of headlines) study tastes, interests and expectations of their readers using a number of effective communicative tactics. Newspapers are a part of the British culture and headliners use national traditions and new trends in the modern media sphere to write attractive headlines. We have applied structural and linguistic analysis of headlines to defy typical communicative tactics to attract readers' attention and form their opinions and judgements.
