Foreign-language quest as form of professional orientation work with entrants

In article experience of successful holding the Open Day at faculty of foreign languages of Tomsk state university in a non-standard form of a foreign-language quest during which seniors of language schools of Tomsk, future entrants of TGU, independently obtain information on the educational institution interesting them is described and analyzed. Authors of article recognize from what the created identity of the school student not in forces to apprehend and adequately to estimate a surplus of various information and needs the environment which is specially organized by adults. Therefore the help in career guidance is invaluable support in case of the choice of an individual educational trajectory of the entrant. The quest carried lines not only advertizing and professional orientation, but also educational and excursion action within university. The choice of such form has been caused by quest benefits: dynamism, team work, emotional contact between participants, a communicative and creative orientation of game. In article all stages of holding a quest for seniors are in detail provided: preparatory (promotional and informational stage); stages (stations) quest game; analysis of action (questioning of participants). In general results have shown that the difficult organizational component of a quest in a foreign language is justified it by results, both for future entrants, and for university. The experience of implementation of a foreign-language quest offered in work can be used by teachers of other higher education institutions in information work with potential students that is very actual in modern conditions of strengthening of the competition in the sphere of the higher education and increase of the professional training level of teachers.
