Culturological idea of the conception of "Communicative approach in foreign language education"
The analysis of the conception of "communicative approach in foreign language education" of J.I. Passov is given in the article. The aspects and components of this process are also introduced. It is noted, that current problems in intercultural communication and the change of the principal approach in foreign language education, which is aimed not only at learning grammar rules and vocabulary, but is also turned to understanding culture of a foreign country, have led to close attention to educational potential of the subject "foreign language". It is shown that the basis of the conception is the idea of integrating cultural studies into foreign language education. It is stated that the process of foreign language learning influences the formation of person's culture and spirituality, the upbringing of tolerant attitude towards representatives of other cultures, the ability to participate in intercultural communication.
