On the question of the forms of development of the bilingual language person

The article deals with topical issues of development of bilingual language personality in the conditions of the national Republic. The formation of the bilingual language personality in the conditions of modern multilingual society fascinated scientists of different areas. The author makes an attempt to approach this problem from the standpoint of the development of linguistic and communicative abilities of bilingual students enrolled in schools of the Republic of Tatarstan. One of the most popular forms of work in the development of the linguistic identity of pupils are of Olympiad in the Russian language. As research material was used the results from the municipal, national, international Olympiad of Russian language for schools with native (non-Russian) language learning in the Republic of Tatarstan. The author comes to the conclusion that for the formation of linguistic identity bilingual students play an important role the Olympiad on the Russian language, because they develop linguistic intuition, communicative and cultural competence of bilinguals. The experience of scientists of the Kazan Federal University in the development of tasks, conducting competitions in the Russian language at various levels allows us to generalize and to formulate guidelines for the preparation of bilingual students to competitions of this type. This study contributes in the area of language education, to the methodology of work with gifted children, it can be interesting for teachers who deal with bilingual students.
