Variation of lexical means in the biblical texts translated by Martin Luther
The subject of the analysis is the parallel lexical units which have been found in thebiblical texts translated by Martin Luther. The peculiarities of the variation of the lexical unitscaused by the influence of the Latin, Hebrew and Ancient Greek languages are described on thebasis of diachronic comparison of the texts created in 1522 and 1545. An attempt to characterizethe concrete facts of the formation of the written form of the German language has been made.
