Communicative competence of students in valuable and professional context
The identification of criteria for the adequacy of the level of communicative competence, taking into account the valuable and professional context, is one of the priority tasks in the development of various methods of teaching and examining students' knowledge, including testing. It makes sense to refer to the relevant branches of scientific knowledge, such as psychometrics and psycholinguistics, the subjects of which are various aspects of measuring the personal competences of students, as well as their external and latent abilities to learn and master this or that material. So, it is necessary to say about the peculiarities of the form in which the evaluation of communicative competence is realized today. Firstly, international testing as a means of verifying the speaker's language level is a confirmed method of evaluation that has gained the greatest popularity in recent decades. One of the most reliable types of testing is psychometric testing - it is striving for objectivity and acquisition of knowledge of an applied nature in the development of universal tests. Taking into consideration the specifics of the psychometric measurement, tests of this kind do not have deviations of a subjective nature in calculations and can even be used without human intervention, they are reliable and valid and sensitive to the latent traits of the student due to their discrimination. They are much more pragmatic rather than theoretical. Since research in the field of psychometric measurement of products of humanitarian knowledge and of transforming the results into an electronic format are at the junction of several areas, such studies take on special significance, which is extremely important in the modern world. Thus, the urgency of the problem outlined in the article is due to the increased need for specialists of the new formation who are fluent in a foreign language at the relevant international standards, as well as the development of new tools capable of preparing such specialists within the higher school educational framework.
