Text of a foreign-language media culture in language education
The text of foreign media culture in the language education is considered. The advantages of using media texts, including relevance, accessibility, genre and stylistic diversity, informativeness, representation of opinions of leading experts in different fields of knowledge are described. The article illustrates the peculiarities of media text as a carrier of inocultural norms and values, as well as examples of manipulative influence of modern mass media. This approach is proposed for the reception of texts of foreign media culture, in which the extraction of informative information is realized on the basis of its analysis, which prevents the "absorption" of information together with their estimated component. The notion of cultural-critical analysis of the texts of an alien culture is introduced, which is understood as the identification of culturally significant information of the text in order to assess the truth of the cultural-relevant judgments and conclusions contained therein. This analysis allows us to display a picture of the world of native speakers, in the context of which the researched text was created, to identify the reasons for the presented focus of events and to form their own opinion on the presented problems. Cultural-critical analysis includes the assessment of the source of information, the definition of the main aspect of the message and the actualization of background knowledge, the analysis of the event and temporal contexts of the message, the identification of the cultural semantics of the realities presented in the text, an assessment of the persuasiveness of the hypotheses and the author's arguments, the analysis of ideological cliches and manipulative techniques, information media text when compared with other sources of information, the formation of the student's personal position.
