Precedent Smolensk antroponyms in the national background knowledge
The study of the precedent onomastic units that form the cognitive basis of the language acquires particular actuality in modern linguistics, since the knowledge of precedent proper nouns largely determines the identity of the linguistic personality to a particular culture, which is especially important against the background of intensive processes of globalization. In the present paper we consider how precedent Smolensk anthroponyms are represented (Y.A. Gagarin, M.I. Glinka, A.T. Tvardovsky, M.V. Isakovsky, F.S. Kon', M.K. Tenisheva, N.I. Rylenkov). They are revealed as a result of associative experiment at the regional level, as part of background knowledge of the national level, which was also determined experimentally. At the national level, 1617 subjects-students from various universities of Moscow and St. Petersburg took part in the experiment. For a limited time, respondents were asked to write down any reactions to the anthroponym listed above. The material obtained is processed in the electronic database Microsoft Office Access, where the composition of the associative and cultural background of each onym is presented in a compact and convenient for analysis form. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the received reactions from the point of view of their cognitive value allowed to conclude that not all precedents at the regional (Smolensk) level of anthroponyms are precedent at the national level of linguistic and cultural value. In the lists of reactions, only three onyms (Y.A. Gagarin, M.I. Glinka, A.T. Tvardovsky) have prevailing informative associations, reflecting significant components in the semantics of these names. In the lists of reactions to the other anthroponyms, "empty", estimated, erroneous and formal associations dominate. Thus, regional works on the study of the name as a cultural sign serve as a kind of "filter" in the detection of precedent names, and their subsequent consideration at the national level confirms or refutes this precedent. The conducted research raises a number of questions, the main one is the issue of popularization of objectively precedent regional names with the aim of including them in the national onomastic field. Many proper nouns, being key for Russian culture, perform the function of onomastic markers (N.A. Maksimchuk's term) of Russian cultural space, signaling that a given language unit belongs to a given cultural space, on the one hand, and a linguistic personality (in the background knowledge which includes these onyms) to a certain cultural society - on the other. Determining the list of onomastic markers of Russian cultural space and the development of principles for organizing cultural knowledge based on the analysis of the semantics of onomastic units is significant for representatives of the entire national society and is one of the conditions for the existence and preservation of a single cultural space of multinational Russia.
