Training of a foreign language teacher in line witch the cultural paradigm
The problem of methodological orientation of foreign language teacher training is not new for methodological science. But it arises every time when there is a contradiction between the new realities, challenges of time and educational environment on the one hand, and the lack of rapid response to them by the system of institutional training of a foreign language teacher. Achieving compliance with modern requirements for teacher training is primarily associated with the definition of its methodological priorities. The purpose of the article is to present the characteristics of the cultural paradigm as a methodological priority that determines the essential features of the process of training a foreign language teacher, its objectives and content. The article defines the system-forming component in the training of a foreign language teacher - foreign language training, supports the idea of the relationship of language and culture in learning. The cultural paradigm is interpreted as a combination of approaches that implement the dominant educational ideas - cognitive-information (traditional), cultural, personal and competence. They are United on the basis of the principle of complementarity with the leading role of cultural approach. It is established that the cultural paradigm is a phenomenon of modern reality of foreign language teacher training, manifesting itself at different levels: methodological, theoretical, practical. Essential features of the cultural paradigm, allowing to identify it in the process of training a foreign language teacher: the organized process of mastering a foreign language culture is a system-forming component of training; conjugate language and culture training from the initial stage of training through the study of the linguistic-cultural aspect of the content; the use of developing educational technologies and active teaching methods with cultural, research orientation. The article substantiates the position that in line with the cultural paradigm of foreign language teacher training is a process of mastering a foreign language culture with its inherent cultural codes. It is noted that the implementation of the cultural paradigm is most logically carried out with the help of the linguistic aspect of the content of teacher training. The priority technologies and methods of teaching language studies are indicated.
