Training in the English grammar in the autonomous mode

The globalization of political, economic and social processes in modern conditions has given the world new tools and initiatives that contribute to the formation of a common European educational space. Being an active participant in such processes, the Russian Federation proclaimed the reorientation of the Russian education system to a competence-oriented approach as one of the priority directions of educational policy. As a result, the student from the object of pedagogical influence gradually becomes its rightful participant. The practical implementation of these changes becomes the modern goal of education, which emphasizes the formation of competence, competencies and socially significant qualities of the student as a person capable of self-education and self-determination, self-actualization and self-regulation. Competence-based approach interprets the main task of education in the field of learning a foreign language as the development of students' key competence, namely educational. Educational competence is an integrative personal phenomenon, which is expressed in the unity of the theoretical and practical readiness and ability of the student to carry out educational activities. As an academic discipline, a foreign language, in addition to its main functions (to bring up and educate), performs a number of additional ones, which contribute to the development of such individual qualities as creativity and logic. In addition, we should not forget that the primary goal of teaching a foreign language is the formation of foreign language communicative competence, the successful formation of which is impossible without the grammar competence. The formation of the foreign language grammar competence will be more successful if students have already got "educational autonomy", i.e. the ability of the student to the conscious implementation of productive activities and assuming (as an agent of self-development) responsibility not only for the process of implementation of this activity, but also for its final product. In other words, the autonomous activity of the student is the learning according to an individual plan that complements, expands and deepens the knowledge gained by the student during class and extra-curricular activities. Productive autonomous studying ensures the realization of the student's personal creative potential and the accumulation of a certain set of competences that allow the effective use of a foreign language for self-determination, self-realization and development of his or her educational and, in this case, language environment, which is impossible without grammar competence. The key competence is the foreign language communicative one in this case, because its successful formation is impossible without the grammar competence, which in turn determines to a certain extent the quality of mastering a foreign language and culture. The possession of these competencies is confirmed by the degree of freedom, independence and effectiveness of the use of a foreign language by a student and by the extent to which he or she is ready and able to autonomously learn a foreign language and develop his language personality. The introduction of information technology in education has a beneficial effect on the development of the mentioned competencies. Comparison of the "Multimedia Builder" and "Stratum 2000 Professional" programs made it possible to come to the conclusion that the latter is superior due to the presence of a number of significant advantages. These advantages include: the ability to use ready-made multimedia files and create new ones; the ability to create interactive exercises of various types; the presence of an objective assessment mechanism (according to specified criteria), the ability to customize the interface of the program according to the wishes of the user. In addition, "Stratum 2000 Professional" has the best resources for the implementation of autonomous studying. The electronic educational kit "The English Language for the schoolchildren (5-9 grade)" was developed On the basis of the "Stratum 2000 Professional" programme. The structure of this electronic educational kit consisting of blocks of material is open, flexible, open-ended and can be adjusted. In addition, reliance on general teaching principles and synergistic effects allows students autonomously, taking into account their individual style, pace of work and their own business, select the necessary material from the thematic blocks that meets their needs, vary the sequence of their study, build their own educational trajectory, form their own grammar competence. Thus, with the help of this electronic educational kit, students can not only actualize their knowledge of grammar, but also autonomously study and then train new grammar material, which, if used correctly, can lead to autonomous student studying. The results of research have proven the effectiveness of the use of the electronic educational kit "The English Language for the schoolchildren (5-9 grade)" in the formation of students' foreign language grammar competence as a result of creating the conditions for their autonomous activities.
