Translation of multidiscourse series space
The polydiscursive characteristics of the series as a media text and their influence on the choice of a translation strategy are featured in the article. Audiovisual, political and entertainment discourses are defined as the main types of discourses in the studied media text. The study assumes that the translation of the series is influenced by culture process of audiovisual translation which assumes that the viewer's reaction is of the paramount importance. The main sense units of the series are the frame, film phrase (film event) as well as the entire film discourse whose language component is realized in film dialogs. Multidiscourse characteristics of the series (i.e. the existence of certain elements of entertainment, political and audiovisual discourse, which present a considerable difficulty in translating the film directories) has significant influence on the process of series' dialogs translation. In the article these elements were identified as discourse-dependent units, which adequate translation is impossible without taking into account their characteristics aimed on meeting other conditions of film text: audiovisual, narrative, entertainment, discourses as well as political focus of the studied series. Therefore, in this study the units of audiovisual, political, and entertainment discourses were considered and analyzed as discourse-dependent ones. The features specific to each of the types of discourse studied (entertainment, political, audiovisual) were also identified. It was found out that in order to successfully overcome the difficulties of a film dialog and political discourse translation these features should be taken into account. Due to the fact that in this study the political discourse is considered to be an additional type of series discourse, the linguistic and extralinguistic features of the political-entertainment and audiovisual discourses in the series were revealed: institutionalization, realization in certain types of text and genres (appeals, speeches, personal and official dialogues, etc.), suggestion, verbal and nonverbal elements of influence. It was found that in cases where the internal multi-discursive interdependence of the film text units is not taken into account, various translation errors, inaccuracies and distortions occur.
