Formation of intercultural competence in the professionally oriented information educational environment of a university

The article deals with research of professionally oriented information educational environment for formation of intercultural competence as the part of professionally oriented foreign language communicative competence of university students studying "Culturology" and effective methods for reaching the goal. It is based on competence, environmental, professionally oriented and intercultural approaches. Its main method is modeling, which assists, firstly, to present professionally oriented information educational environment for formation of intercultural competence of future culture experts and, secondly, introduce methods of its formation. Professionally oriented information educational environment is regarded as a component of the educational space, the structure of which includes resource, informative as a combination of socio-methodological, subject-operative and didactic-methodical pieces, activity and procedural subcomponents. The contents choice and organization of the educational environment subcomponents for formation of the intercultural competence is realized in consideration with such principles as intercultural and professional orientation, information fullness, personal and subject individualization, comparison-contrast and problem adequacy of learning material. The methods of the intercultural competence formation is designed for the procedural subcomponent of the educational environment. Thanks to it the methods is equipped with material and multimedia means, which fill the contents with the information representing intercultural professionally oriented social experience for the students to learn, instrumentally equip the system of exercises assisting the teacher and students to engage in active interactions in order to gain intercultural professionally oriented social experience. The result of it is the intercultural competence as a combination of a future culture expert readiness and ability of intercultural interaction for successful professional foreign language communication with representatives of different cultures. Experimental research of the designed methods has proved its effectiveness. The information is useful for those who do research in teaching students of non-linguistic universities foreign language communication in professional spheres .
