Value and motivation aspects in the content of specialized foreign language training
The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the main methodological category of the foreign language teaching methodology - teaching content. Particular attention is paid to its value and motivation aspects. The idea is justified that the subject "foreign language" has axiological potential and contributes to the appearance of such features as 1) a value attitude to the surrounding reality; 2) a positive attitude towards oneself; 3) positive attitude towards future life activity ("Image of future professional activity"). The characteristic features of the profile and profile-oriented teaching of a foreign language for high school students are identified and described. The author proposes a nomenclature of axiological strategies included in the structure of the learning content, presented in two blocks: 1) a block of semantic orientations, knowledge, skills, methods of activity; 2) a block of value experience, including the value aspects of the subject "foreign language". The author comes to the conclusion that an important condition in the process of profile-oriented foreign language training of schoolchildren is the staged work, and suggests organizing this process in three stages: informative-motivational, activity-oriented and reflective-evaluative. It is determined that the most effective methodological tool for the formation of the value experience of schoolchildren is a specially organized didactic tool, which is a complex of personality-developing situations, containing axiogenic situations described as "value-rich fragments of objective reality that are of particular importance for understanding this reality". Examples of such texts are proverbs about the value of labor, responsibility, a conscious attitude to the subject of the activities, the appropriateness of decisions. The article provides an analysis of experimental training, which demonstrated the growth of professional self-esteem, the formation of professional ideals system. Such a component as the meaning of future professional activity of high school students has become of particular importance in the structure of personal experience.
