The Emergence of New English Economic Terms, as a Result of the Process of Secondary Nomination
The purpose of this article is an inventory, that is, the identification of new abbreviated English terms from the political and economic sphere and a description of their structure, as well as a sociolinguistic study that identifies the extra-linguistic factors that caused their appearance and formation. The terms studied have appeared in English over the past seven years as a result of events occurring in the political and economic spheres of the life of the European community. These events were the extralinguistic factors that caused the emergence of new terms. The study is conducted on the basis of methods of continuous viewing of authentic English texts of newspapers and magazines of economic and political orientation. In the inventory process, the collected and description of the abbreviated terms, their lexicographic processing and description are collected. To identify the structural model of the studied terms, their structural analysis was carried out and productive models for constructing abbreviated political and economic English terms were determined. The patterns in the formation of the described terms and terminological combinations are identified, systematized and grouped, examples of the variation and uniqueness of the terms are given. It reveals a direct link between the events taking place in society, the emergence of new concepts and the origin of new English words, terms and terminological combinations necessary for their naming. The work on inventory and unification of the described terms and terminological combinations was carried out.
