Discourse and Discourse - Analysis as a Super-complex Self-development System
The paper is devoted to the investigation of the reasons for extremely powerful discourse and discourse-analysis self-development and the role which this process plays in the development of scientific knowledge. This consideration is based on the use of the graphic representation of discourse in the form of an onion diagram introduced by the Dutch scientist Geert Hofstede. This approach clearly illustrates the circumstance that the main reasons of discourse and discourse-analysis self-development are: firstly, ambiguous understanding of the ideal, situated in the nucleus of discourse, by the researchers and secondly, possible multifacetedness of the ideal. The multifacetedness of the ideal is incorporated into discourse by its creator deliberately or accidently. Different understanding of the ideal produces the creation of new discourses. The more researchers investigate discourse, the more rapid the chain reaction of its self-development is. There is an accent in the paper on the fact that the process of discourse and discourse-analysis self-development into super complex system is consistent with the theory of dissipative structures developed by I. Prigozhin in the second half of the 20-th century. This theory explains spontaneous genesis of new structures and new forms of behaviour in the open systems which are distant from the state of equilibrium. The paper surveys an example of pedagogical application of the phenomenon of discourse self-development into super complex system. This example is developed within the work on the creation of the technique of professionally-oriented foreign language learning on the basis of discourse-analysis for students-ecologists.
