Development of masters' emotional intelligence in the framework of holistic foreign language training at technical university

The problem of the development of a fully developed personality, capable of selfeducation and self-improvement, with the ability to intellectual and creative self-development, has always been relevant and important for education. The scientific and public communities recognize the exceptional value of working for integrated and comprehensive human development and learning. Of great importance is the fact that this problem is recognized as significant at the country level. Thanks to this recognition, the national project “Education” was created, the implementation of which is planned for the period from 01.01.2019 to 31.12.2024 and is aimed at achieving two key goals: - to ensure the global competitiveness of Russian education, which will allow the Russian Federation to take a worthy position in the top ten countries of the world in terms of the quality of education; - to promote the use of coordinated efforts of school teachers and teachers of secondary and higher educational institutions aimed at the harmonious education, development and training of a person with social responsibility, morality, spiritual and national values. The goals and objectives also include the need to instill in the Russian people a sense of pride, patriotism, and the desire to study and know the historical and national-cultural traditions of the people. The national project provides for the development of the education system in four main areas: changing the content component of education in order to update it; development and creation of innovative infrastructure; implementation of effective and modern training of professional personnel with the provision of opportunities for further continuous self-education and professional development; clear and strategic management of this area. The implementation of these goals and objectives will be most successful in the context of a holistic educational process, the characteristics of which are: the unity of the processes of training and education, the joint activity of the subjects of these processes. Foreign language teaching should also be built on the basis of integrity. At the same time, it is safe to say that the study of a foreign language is interrelated with the emotional sphere of students, therefore, it is an effective means of forming emotional self-regulation, developing the skills of constructive emotional interaction, as well as developing and improving the emotional intelligence of the individual.
