Future teachers training for professional activities in the multicultural region: cultural and ethnocultural approaches
The scientific and technical revolution of the 20th century caused radical changes that are constantly taking place in the daily life of each person, which is directly related to new scientific discoveries and technical innovations that have significantly transformed the picture of the human world of the 20th and 21stcenturies. Scientific changes and discoveries dramatically affect the modern socio-cultural space, expand the range of opportunities to ensure effective intercultural interaction between representatives of various ethnic groups living in the territory of one subject of the Russian Federation, search for new mechanisms and technologies for its implementation, and update the emergence of new professions and competencies. A special role in the training of future teachers in the multicultural region is given to language and culture, not only as a unique form of expressing views on the world of representatives of different ethnic groups, but also an effective means of expanding interethnic contacts and world order.The purpose of the study is to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of cultural and ethnocultural approaches to the future teachers training or professional activities in the multicultural region, the study of the native language and culture of their people and other ethnic groups. Objectives of the study are analysis and justification of cultural and ethnocultural approaches in the future teachers training for professional activities in the multicultural region; identification of future teachers'knowledge of traditions, history, culture, ethnocultural characteristics of their own and other ethnic groups living in the multicultural region; determining the level of understanding by future teachers of the essence of the phenomenon of culture of interethnic communication, generally accepted norms and rules of communication when interacting with representatives of other ethnic groups living in the multicultural region. Research methods are: theoretical: analysis and synthesis of scientific categories, systematization of scientific data, generalization of pedagogical experience; empirical: quantitative and qualitative analysis of survey data among first-year students; diagnostic: polling, methods of mathematical statistics. Identification of the peculiarities of the ethnocultural approach in the future teachers training for the professional activities in the multicultural region; future teachers'knowledge of traditions, history, culture, ethnocultural characteristics of their own and other ethnic groups; the level of understanding by future teachers of the essence of the phenomenon of culture of interethnic communication, generally accepted norms and rules of communication when interacting with representatives of other ethnic groups is necessary for the effective organization of intercultural interaction in the multicultural region, to increase the effectiveness of future teachers training for the professional activities.
