Emotion is subject metaphor in «The Call of the Wild» and «White Fang» by Jack London and their translations into Russian

The article focuses on studying the functioning of metaphor in a work of fiction. One of the aspects of the key textual conceptual metaphor in «The Call of the Wild» and «White Fang» by Jack London is thoroughly analyzed. Its functioning in the translations of the works is also attended to. Metaphoric models of the original texts and their translations are constructed, their lexical realizations are then compared.
