On some tendencies in the development of internal procuratorial activities
The Internal Prosecutor's Office functioned in practically all ever known historical forms of the organization of procuratorial activities. Having changed various types of structure (fiscal- supervisory, judicial- magistracial, purely supervisory and a mixed one) it continued its evolution within the frame of historical development of procuratorial systems though with essential national peculiarities dictated by the specificity of internal state government and criminal court procedure of relevant historical epochs. One of the consequences of the judicial investigative reform was further development of a law securing direction that implied the ensuring (protection ) of the legal status of a person in all kinds of law enforcement activities including criminal proceedings. Changes in the content of supervisory activities under the conditions of reforming of a sub supervisory environment resulted in the above mentioned increase of the value of procuratorial law securing. The law securing activity of a prosecutor is gradually acquiring its independent significance pushing back such procuratorial functions as prosecutor's supervision (in its traditional meaning) and criminal prosecution.
