Freedom of religion: international tendencies and Russian prospects
Nowadays researchers disagree on the evaluation of the character of realizing freedom of conscience and freedom of religion in Russia. However, many of them support the opinion that "traditional "religious associations expand their influence on the state policy and cleri-calization of government institutions. Russian legislation on the freedom of conscience and forms of its realization and the whole system of relations between the state and confessions need revision. The analysis of foreign experiences can become a source of progressive ideas to be used in Russia in this sphere and show all possible mistakes and ways of their correction.
