Legal regulation of part-time employment (from the British and Italian experiences)

The increase in the number of part-time workers that is typical for many countries all over the world necessitates legislators to pay particular attention to the issues of their employment protection. In the present article, through a thorough analysis of contemporary legislation, judicial decisions and legal literature, the British and Italian experiences of the legal regulation of this form of non-standard employment are examined, including measures which are intended for increasing the level of employment protection for relevant employees.
