The problem of technical criminalistic tools used when searching a crime scene

The development of theory and practice in crime detection results in the need to develop both technical criminalistic tools and methods. Technical criminalistic tools, which enable the officers involved in analysing-cognitive activity to organize a pre-trial procedure more effectively, deserve special attention. Like other categories, the category of technical criminalistic tools can be considered differently because of various properties and ties within it. The conclusion about the necessity to differentiate technical criminalistic tools both loosely and narrowly appears to be significant. A more certain classification of technical criminalistic tools is often made taking into account their origin, purpose, type and application. The relationship between technical criminalistic and tactical criminalistic tools necessitates thorough analysis of the means used for detection, removal and pre expert examination of definite objects. Tactical criminalistic tools are used in the application of technical criminalistic tools in the course of investigative actions to obtain the evidence. The classification is also important for criminal records, because the indirect result of applied searching technical criminalistic tools is the development of recorded figures, which contain significant information, e.g. the records of fingerprints in undetected crimes. While speaking about the problems of the development of technical criminalistic tools for searching it is necessary to take into account their functional homogeneity. The above tools can be divided into two groups: the technical criminalistic tools, which are constructed (or adjusted) according to the nature of an object under search; the other group represents technical criminalistic tools for the detection of traces, which indirectly point out the location of a secret object. Such technical criminalistic tools fulfill a support searching function. Revealing the significance of technical criminalistic tools for a search, it is necessary to emphasize that these tools must be applied to obtain both evidentiary and contextual information in a criminal case. The above information helps to find traceable objects in the places being search.
