On compiling a motivational poetic dictionary

In researches of linguistic poetics there are pressing questions of theoretical principlesof creation of dictionaries of writers' language, features of creation of electronic authors'dictionaries, applications of materials of dictionaries of writers in researches on languageof fiction, stylistics, linguistic poetics. The motivational aspect of studying of a poeticdiction also includes consideration of these points in question. With all the variety ofapproaches to the analysis of the role of motivation in individual style (O. Blinova,L. Dubina, O. Mikhaylova, E. Pogudina, etc.) and riches of the investigated material(poetry of O. Mandelshtam, M. Tsvetaeva, N. Rubtsov, S. Yesenin, E. Evtushenko, B.Akhmadulina, A. Voznesensky, etc.) there is no experience of lexicographic description ofauthor's motivational devices, which explains the urgency of the theme of the presentresearch. In the article a motivational poetic dictionary representing the use of motivation inpoetic language itself and the motivational dictionary of one author are considered. Thedictionary of the first type gives a chance to study motivation functioning in art text, thedictionary of the second type - to track individuality of word usage of this or that author.Entries of both dictionaries are built with the support of the system of headings havingnames of various tropes and poetic figures. In the headings the list of motivationallyconnected words that urged to reflect the specificity of the poetic use of motivation is givenin the alphabetic order. In case with the dictionary of the second type classifying headingsinto semantic sections ("world around", "person", "lyrical hero") is used in addition, whichallows characterizing a substantial orientation of motivational devices and, hence, analysing the individuality of style of this or that author. In an entry the system of stylisticmarks, characterizing motivationally connected words as interconnected lexemes is used, which provides the perception of the typical and individual in the construction ofmotivational devices. The further detailed study of the concept of the dictionary, first of all, demandsconstruction of a system of motivational devices and creation of a meta-language for thedescription of each of them, and also a more detailed analysis of functional orientation ofmethods of motivation use. Problems of definition of sufficient borders of context, answering the question on the priority of functions of motivation, representation form ofcomplex motivational structures (motivational block, stylistic device of association ofmotivationally connected words, etc.) and many other questions are major when compilinga motivational poetic dictionary.
