The Dialect Word in the Russian Author's Lexicography of the 21st Century
The article describes the place of dialect lexis in author's dictionaries of the 21st century. A regional word, along with other literary and non-literary denominations, may be part of the vocabulary of a complete dictionary. In this case, the dictionary reflects the integral connection of different layers of lexis in the language texture with no separation of the integral field of a literary text. With the multi-author Dictionary of the Language of Russian Poetry of the 20th Century and the monographic Dictionary of Language and Rhyme of N. Rubtsov's Poetry as examples, the structure of the dictionary entry of territorially limited denominations is analyzed. The opportunities of a complete dictionary for studying the author's idiostyle are presented. Special emphasis is laid on differential dictionaries which describe non-literary lexis. Since regional denominations are not easily distinguished from vernacular words, it also affected the vocabulary of differential dictionaries which are not limited by dialect denominations. As a rule, rarely used words become the subject of the description (dialect, obsolete and special lexemes), and this is reflected in dictionary titles. The microstructure of seven dictionaries based on the works of I.S. Turgenev, A.I. Ertel, I.A. Bunin, E.I. Zamyatin, V.P. Astafyev, V.I. Belov and V.G. Rasputin is compared. Common and specific lexicographic approaches of each dictionary are revealed and illustrated. The dictionaries demonstrate the authors' use of word forms and of characteristic labels and present examples and data about the origin of words in different ways; they also contain differently formed reference zones, etc. The article gives an explanation why differential author's dictionaries appear, non-linguistic and intralingual causes are described. It is accentuated that non-literary lexis is an autonomous system in a literary text and is an important figurative and expressive means. Descriptions of certain lexical groups are often accompanied by special approaches to the structure of a dictionary entry. This helps to reveal the peculiarities of the group of words under analysis. The theoretical significance and the practical value of differential dictionaries of dialect lexis are assessed in the article. The issue of addressees of reference books of this type, which determines the basic parameters of the dictionary, is touched upon. The article indicates different research trends among philologists who can use the dictionary to start working on a range of issues in the field of authors' idiolect. The article determines the cultural value of differential dictionaries of old Russian words and their role in studying the language of a single author. It is concluded that new information technologies may be used to demonstrate the regional lexis found in literary texts.
