Dictionaries of extraliterary vocabulary as a type of author's dictionaries (problems and solutions)

In the paper the task of creating a dictionary of extraliterary vocabulary used in literary texts to create an image of a foreign speech environment is solved. The objects are translated texts, works of the Russian national literature and Russian authors that reflect the life of the peoples of Russia. The author proves that such dictionaries can be classified as the author's ones. Their basic units are exoticisms, barbarisms, natiolectisms, dialectisms, and historicisms functioning as exoticisms. Dictionaries of extraliterary vocabulary can be based on the examples of various kinds of texts and individually author's. In the preparation of the former the representativeness of the corpus of the selected texts is essential. This new project is defined as ''Materials for the Dictionary'', since the author doubts the right to consider the proposed corpus a sufficient and closed structure. This paper only discusses some aspects of the dictionary: introduction, classification and properties of the material at the whole text level. The author singles out such things as the instability of the graphic image of the word - exoticism in fiction, the variability of the nominations of similar phenomena, which is connected with the representation of words in the dictionary. The solution of the problem is to give all the options as headwords of dictionary reference entries, the main entry should describe the most common word. Another problem of introducing words in the dictionary is that the authors use the so-called ''spelling archaisms'' (authentic and pseudo-units); they are stylistically marked and have a separate entry. In the work these phenomena are associated with the law of complicated reading by Yakubinsky and Shklovsky and defamiliarisation (V.B. Shklovsky). Classification concerns the problem of texts. The author considers the possibility of giving lacunarity in the text as a means of expressiveness and allusion. ''In function'' mark is of particular importance for it denotes cases of using Russian dialectisms and historicisms in the function of exoticisms. Also the dictionary should mark cases of in-text opposition of exoticisms denoting similar phenomena in the culture of different peoples that are significant for the idea, pathos, and motives of the text.
