From the editor.pdf According to already formed tradition, the "Musical Almanac of Tomsk State University" devotes it's pages not only to musicological material, but also to related fields, and also to questions of practice and concert performance. Musica instrumentalis goes side by side with judgments and interpretations of music, they are inseparable, as soul and a body in the life of a human. This release turned out full of polemic and differences of views. Well, it even is very interesting! In P. Volkova and I. Kochubey's article we see some opposition of a position E. Kuprovskaya, in article of the Note of Capri - the position alternative to the principles stated in V. Ponomaryov's article. At the same time, there are pages of a historical faktology (I. Kiselyova and S. Vavilov's article), mastery problems (A. Blakhovsky, V. Maximov, E. Prikhodovskaya and A. Okisheva's article), and also judgment of prerequisites of creation of work at composer consciousness (A. Mozeler). In this release there was a new section - "Vita brevis, Ars longa" which contains thoughts of borders of life, death and arts. Traditional for our Journal is a section "Concert Life of the City" where the news of concert life of our city and an event concerning modern music are stated.
