Transformation - You Can't Do Just One Thing
The organization chart is often considered as a primary business information. The organization chart is visible; many of the more important factors that affect organizational performance are not. Improving information flows, improving problem solving and learning, developing constructive interactions between individuals and units, using negotiation to manage conflict, communication and modeling by management, revamping rewards and controls and developing a culture that enables improvement are some of the organizational aspects that deserve far more attention than reporting relationships.
