About one approach to the classification of decision support systems

An analysis of the DSS classification and definitions was made. It is shown that all the existing options are intended for specialists and researchers of DSS. They do not allow make choice of DSS for the use of the Decision Makers. A variant of the DSS classification and definition on the basis R.L. Ackoff's five knowledge levels is proposed.
