The article contains an analytical chronicle of the conference “Studies in Theory of Literary Plot and Narratology - 4” held at the Institute of Philology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in May 2017. The problems of the theory of plot and motive, interaction of plot and genre, interaction of plot and composition, history of plots of Russian literature, genesis and evolution of frequent and rare plots, plots of insufficiently studied writers and plot poetics of Siberian literature were considered at the conference.
