The complex analysis of letters of N.M. Karamzin in the aspect of their poetics, and also research of epistolary forms in works of the writer is a topical research task. The post prose is inseparable from the literary works of the writer, they are in a condition of a continuous dialogue. Epistolarity is a distinctive feature of the poetic and prosaic poetics of N.M. Karamzin. Epistolary forms play a special role in representations of N.M. Karamzin's principles and position as of the publisher of a journal. The letter in the publishing ideology of Karamzin is an interactive form of communication with the reader which initially assumes the readiness of the addressee to understand and accept the point of view of the author. Epistolarity in the creative heritage of N.M. Karamzin is characterized by ambivalence of its manifestation: on the one hand, the writer actively develops the poetics of the private, friendly letter in his poetry, prose, journalistic and publishing practice; on the other hand, in his private correspondence N.M. Karamzin expands the limits of the routine letter, bringing it to the level of literature and journalism. Private letters of N.M. Karamzin, as well as his poetic messages and works of art, embodied the orientation to a friendly chat characteristic for the era in general. For the writer and the historian aspiration to an emotional bond with the addressee-interlocutor is not so much a tribute to literary fashion, but an ideologically significant constant, a basis of the philosophy of life and of life building which, it is important to note, became productive for subsequent generations of Russian writers. An important distinctive feature of Karamzin's epistolarity is its ethical potential, educational, pedagogical rhetoric. Karamzin's letters, as well as epistolary publications in his editions and works of art, are a way to impact the reader, to introduce in the consciousness of the cultural community of the whole range of humanistic ideals. Speaking about N.M. Karamzin's epistolarity, its expressivity and expressiveness should be noted. The figurative plan plays a most serious role in the structure of his letters. N.M. Karamzin's epistolarity has the poetics of the sublime in all its variety. Karamzin's letters of different periods contain pictures of the sublime of the nature. The poetics of the sublime in Karamzin's letters is shown in the uses of the idyllic genre model. External beauty in Karamzin's system of values is inseparably linked with the ideas of spiritual beauty. Research of the private correspondence of Karamzin and of the epistolary forms in his creativity allows drawing a conclusion on the most important role of the epistolary form in the creation of the poetics of his works, and also on the philosophical and anthropological, cultural and historical, literary importance and efficiency of his epistolary heritage for the Russian literary culture.
