Old I am, so keep telling everything": the discursive corpus of tradition and the genre "communication of traditional ethics"
The article discusses the discursive corpus of tradition that produces ideal values, norms, imperatives orientations of traditional culture and communicates them to new generations. The discourse of tradition appears a predictably multi-genre space. The subject of the study is a genre designed for communicating ethics (categories of norms and ideals). The purpose of the article is to describe the genre specifics of texts of this function type, as well as the possible manifestation of related genres in them which may camouflage the specifics. The empirical material is a fragment of the recording of the Middle Ob dialect archive of Tomsk State University, made in 1974 in the village of Gyngazovo, Shegarsky District of Tomsk Oblast. The speech of a traditional culture representative, Anna Ilinichna Golovacheva (born in 1912), was recorded. This text combines attributes (parameters) that are typical of the discourse of tradition itself, in its genre diversification, and traits of the allocated genre of ethics communication. The author used a cognitive-discursive method of analysis of the conceptual richness of the genre and its world-modeling mechanism. This revealed the basic feature of the genre picture of the world: domination of the temporal projection of being. The logic of the semantic development of the analyzed text is determined by the genre-forming motif of the discrepancy between the proper and the immediate states of the world. It is expressed in the confrontation the "before"-epoch and the "now"-epoch. A strong member of the opposition is the modus of the past. The "before"-epoch needs no specification and reference; it is modeled based on the inversion of immoral, from the point of view of the speaker, manifestations of today's reality. The "before"-epoch assumes the function of an unconditional, self-sufficient ethical absolute. The genre canon requires the interpretation of "before" as a strict antagonist of "now", and not as a step to it. Stereotyped models of the "before"-epoch and the "now"-epoch provide universal lexical time markers. The analysis also showed that the nature of modeling the past allows differentiating the texts of the functional type from memorates, broadly represented in the dialect discourse with their content focused on the past. Related speech genres of litany, complaint, conviction that are associated with a description of ethical deviations may again be distinguished from the genre of communication of ethics, for they express static and dynamic time models, respectively. It is concluded that a combination of methods of time interpretation is one of the constitutive features of the class of texts that form the discursive corpus of tradition.
