What is good...'' by traditional folk speech culture representative
The article presents the analysis of the positive pole of assessment including lexical units with the root ''хорош-'', in the lexicon of a dialect speaker. The Unabridged Dictionary of Dialect Language Personality (Tomsk, 2006-2012, in four volumes) and its card files, reflecting the vocabulary of a typical speaker of the Siberian early settler dialect V.P. Vershinina, the inhabitant of Vershinino Settlement of Tomsk Region, became the source of research. The family of the described units has 8 words (ХОРОША'ЦКИЙ, ХОРОШЕНЕЧКО, ХОРОШЕНЬКИЙ, ХОРОШЕНЬКО, ХОРОШИЙ, ХОРОШИЙ-ПРЕХОРОШИЙ, ХОРОШО, ХОРОШО) represented in 78 meanings and 1846 word uses. The topic of the research was the object of assessment, the bases of assessment and its types. The analysis showed that the considered assessment is all-embracing and includes concrete and abstract realities, the spheres of alive and lifeless, physical and social, internal and external. The main object of positive assessment is the person in its diverse psychophysical and social manifestations; artifacts, nature facts, food, abstract categories are assessed less frequently. Study of the bases of assessment and its types gives the grounds to state that the ratio of the rational and the emotional, the pragmatical and esthetic bases, the degree of syncretism in each of the allocated spheres have their peculiar features. At the same time general tendencies of positive assessment were revealed. It was established that in the family of words of lexemes with the root -хорош- the rational type of assessment (with situational stratification of emotional assessment of hedonistic or esthetic bases) and the pragmatical type of assessment (with possible stratification of rarer esthetic assessment) dominate. The latter feature is characteristic for the representative of peasant society who appreciate advantage more than beauty. The combination of the detailed and syncretic positive assessment reflecting, on the one hand, concreteness of its world perception and, on the other hand, unclear borders of perception of close or adjacent objects is peculiar to the dialect language personality. In different spheres the various ratio of types of assessment is observed: the sphere of the person is given detailed assessment; the sphere of nature facts, artifacts and food is given syncretic assessment. Almost total absence of units denoting the extreme positive pole of assessment (the uses of lexemes прекрасный, прекрасно and здорово in an idiolect are sporadic), which confirms the conclusions drawn earlier about the character of assessment scale in the lexicon of the language personality under study, is revealed. An important place in the system of assessment occupies the feeling of satisfaction compared to various aspects of existence of the person. This fact is explained by the reasons of objective and subjective character. Being a traditional culture representative, the peasant perceives the world from the position of the order; its observance as due causes the feeling of satisfaction. Still, the dialect speaker takes life as it is in all its diverse manifestations seeing the positive basis of the being.
