On the lexical organization of the text (reading experience of I.A. Bunin's story "The Pine Trees")
Today, the study of the text is one of the important and interesting tasks for linguistics (N.E. Su-limenko, L.G. Babenko, N.S. Bolotnova et al.). The study of the text through the word that represents the most important senses, explicates details is possible in textual criticism. The word has a complicated multilayer structure, and semantically varies in the artistic context. One of the main characteristics of the word as a unit of the lexical organization of the text is the fact that it has "neighbors" on different axes of the semantic space. The lexical structure of the text largely reflects not only its organization, but also the author's worldview. Bunin's story "The Pine Trees", written in 1901, is characterized by its inclusion in the theme and style of the writer's other short stories; yet researchers note its difference from the rest of Bunin's works. The aim of this work is to study the specifics of the text structure, to identify its types, to study the author's idiostyle based on Bunin's "The Pine Trees". The lexical structure of the story is complex. It can be represented as a semantic field with the word pine as the kernel; it is the key word of the text. Its "textual neighbors" are the words and phrases of the thematic group "forest". The presented explicators allow identifying four basic senses of the key word pine: 1) a pine tree; 2) pines (plural form) as a forest; 3) pine as a material the coffin is made of: pine planks; 4) a part of a tree. Pines as the key semantic element of the story through its lexical expli-cators and relations between them are ambiguously characterized in terms of integrity and segmentation of the created symbol. The rich cultural symbolic subtext of pines allows reconstructing the sound and spatio-temporal patterns of the text, significant for the understanding of the basic idea. The analysis of the lexical organization of the story shows that a circle is the structural principle of the text; it is expressed in repetitions of words with the root -krug- [-circle-], in numerous lexical repetitions, in the specificity of the cyclically organized sound space of the text and in the circular plot structure. As a result of the detailed analysis of the lexical level of the text, information was received about the author's picture of the world, his attitude to the problems stated in the text. A feature of Bunin's view of the world is his specific attitude to the problem of death verbalized in the story. The theme of nature, a favorite theme of Bunin's lyric works, finds its expression in the prose text; the author's philosophy of life is presented in the landscape sketches. Nature in Bunin's works, as always, is organically connected with the mental world of the characters; it is a kind of an optimistic note in the spiritual world of the person lost in the melancholic reflections on their life.
