Communication strategies and tactics represented by precedent texts (based on chat communication)
This article describes the study of precedent texts as a phenomenon that reflects the value judgments of the society, whose study is extremely relevant in modern linguistics. Precedent texts as relevant in the cognitive and emotional aspects are often used in various communication fields, including the chat as a genre of virtual discourse. Precedent texts are multi-functional due to the diversity and number of their sources (films and quotations from TV, works of art, popular songs, The Old Testament, poems, famous sayings, etc.). Precedent texts can represent a number of different communication strategies. The set of strategies depends on the type of the precedent text (from a cartoon to a saying), and genre specific of the chat. Chat is an informal communicative interaction between the participants of communication carried out via the Internet in real time and has such basic features as anonymity, communicative "equality", purpose of entertainment, presence of carnival components, etc. Strategies are represented by communication tactics that implement them. During the research we have identified several strategies represented by precedent texts in chat communication: 1) evaluation strategy implemented by the tactics of characterizing. This strategy allows the communicant to express their attitude to other participants in communication situations, evaluate them, because of the axiological component of the precedent text, 2) self-evaluation strategy implemented by the tactics of characterizing that primarily focuses on the "appealing", according to the communicant, personal characteristics, 3) strategy of non-trivial thought expression realized by the etiquette tactics and the tactics of verbal variety. This strategy stems from the fact that the precedent text is "aesthetically designed" and allows the communicant to "decorate" their speech, and 4) game strategy implemented the tactics of the use of language games. Precedent texts in the chat are often transformed, reinterpreted, which allows one to include them in a language game. As a rule, the use of precedent texts that realize a particular communicative strategy aimed at self-presentation, demonstration of positive, in terms of communicant, qualities, creativity, ability to use the word.
