Motivational triad as a complex categorical unit of metalanguage and text
In the article the author considers for the first time ever a complex categorical unit of the metalanguage of motivology: motivation as a word characteristic, motivationally connected words or motivation, the inner form of the word, and its language image as a text unit. The first part of the article is devoted to the motivational triad as a phenomenon of the metalanguage of motivology, the second - as a phenomenon of the text, in other words, as one of the functional units of the text. One of the parts of the motivational triad is word motivation. In the hierarchy of the word features motivation plays the leading role and predetermines the dependence on it of such characteristics of the word as isomorphism, idiomatic character, expressiveness, evaluation, figurativeness, and others. Motivation is connected to all the elements of cultural linguistics: personification, zoomorphism, phytomorphism, anthropomorphism, natural morphism, phonomorphism and others. Motivation is one of the important features of the word, which characterizes it in the aspect of the speakers' perception of the connection between the meaning and the sound of a lexical unit. The perception of the word motivation can be seen in the speakers' statements. Motivation has a lot of expressive means. One of them is motivationally connected words, which can be found in many texts within the frame of all the existing forms of the language and their style diversity. These words carry out many functions (more than twenty). They represent the whole vocabulary of the language apart from 1-5% of the words, which are not motivated. Taking into consideration all the data and multifunctionality of the motivationally connected words, the phenomenon of the word motivation can be defined as the leading lexical phenomenon of the Russian language. Another means of expressing motivation is the inner form of the word, which is determined as a morphosemantic structure of the word indicating interdetermination of its sound and meaning. In the article the author describes the role of one of the parts of the inner form of the word - a significant element of the phonetic shell of the word, which makes up a motivation form and motivation meaning. This significant element takes part in defining the types of the word motivation (morphological, semantic, morphosemantic), the types of the inner form of the word ( variant and non-variant, complete and incomplete, figurative and non-figurative), in expressing lingua-cultural characteristics of the word: personification, zoomorphism, phytomorphism, anthropomorphism, natural morphism, phonomorphism, and others. It is also known for its implementation in different functions of the inner form of the word in the texts: communicative, expressive and aesthetic (expressing figurativeness, speech figures, humor effect, quasiremotivation) and non-textual functions: conative, gnoseological, nominative, representative and expressive. After considering the three components of the motivational triad the author proceeds to its structure. The structure consists of three parts: the first, the main and the independent part of the triad is the word motivation, the second and third parts are the motivation and the inner form of the word, which are the dependent parts and fulfill the role of the means of expressiveness of the word motivation. Despite the sophistication of each part of the triad it is considered as a single whole maintaining its self-development. A very important role of motivation as a word feature in the system of the language and its functioning has predetermined the abundance of means of its expressiveness due to motivationally connected words and the inner form of the word.
