Reception of Horace in B. Kenzheyev's poetry

The paper is devoted to the analysis of Horatian images in B. Kenzheyev's lyrics, the features of reception of Horace's outlook and art world. The purpose of the paper is the analysis of the character of expression and transformation of the model of reception of Horace in the Russian literature in B. Kenzheyev's poetry. B. Kenzheyev's poems in which the reception of creativity of Horace is expressed both implicitly and explicitly are considered. B. Kenzheyev has only some poems where he mentions Horace or refers to his works (''В чистом поле торчу, как перст.'', ''Облака - словно конь карфагенских кровей'', ''Как славно дышится-поется!'', ''.и рассуждал бы связно, да язык мой.'', ''Аукнешься - и возвратится звук с небесных круч, где в облаках янтарных.''), however, he repeatedly turns to ancient art, which has various functions and creates the context that gives an extensive idea of the nature of reception of Horace's personality and works. The steady reflection about the character and essence of poetic creativity, about opportunities of poetic knowledge of the world, about the status of the poet, his life and destiny is peculiar to B. Kenzheyev's lyrical subject. The appeal to Horace always marks these key, fundamental questions that puts the researcher before the need of comparison and analysis of ideas of the creative works of the antique and the modern poets. Key works and aspects of outlook of Horace become the subject of poetic reflection of B. Kenzheyev. Horace is present in the system of reminiscences both directly and through the mediation of the Russian poetic tradition (A.S. Pushkin, F.I. Tyutchev). In Horace's art consciousness, which melted and embodied philosophical ideas of the era, the world is ruled by the immanent divine reasonable law - Logos. As well as Horace's, B. Kenzheyev's art world has Logos as a fair and wise basis of life. But if for Horace the world is cognizable, arranged on the basis of the rational, B. Kenzheyev emphasizes the tragic abyss between life and Logos. Horace bypasses the questions inaccessible to human knowledge by silence. Horatian rational relation to the world is alien to B. Kenzheyev as human life is absurd, it can be understood and expressed by means of the word only irrationally. Horace, recognizing the poetic talent as a gift of gods, subordinates poetry to reason, for B. Kenzheyev the poet becomes a means of expression of the irrationality and chaos of life. Logos in his poetry shines at the background, ''expresses'' itself irrespective of the will of the poet. Perceiving Horace as an aesthetic and poetic ideal, B. Kenzheyev disagrees with him in many matters of principle - outlook, purpose of poetry and destiny of the poet. Not casually in B. Kenzheyev's works options of overcoming the despair and inevitability of death preached by Horace are reconsidered and rejected by the lyrical subject.
