The use of internet technologies in university education: information competence and the possibility of it's formation among students and teachers
In this article theoretical and practical issues of changes in higher education caused by "digital" technologies, that led to the new requirements to the educational process in the modern university are touched. Particular attention is paid to the competence approach, which was recognized mainly in the training of future specialists and professionals, as well as in the area of staff development. Views of domestic and foreign scholars on the phenomenon of "information competence", which is understood as an integrative attribute of a person and a professional, which is expressed in the ability to select, assimilate, analyze, generate and transmit information to make effective decisions, are revealed. Based on the results of her own research in some universities of Sverdlovsk region, the author defines the stage of influence and the use of Internet technologies in the educational process in high school on the possibility of formation of information competence of students and teachers. Summarized the fairly high stage of influence of modern Internet technologies in high school on level of information competence, there is a rare and unmotivated use of the Internet in the educational activity by as teachers and students themselves as well. There is a conclusion that there are many alternatives and opportunities for using them in everyday education life, including methods and ways to solve such a problem.
