Oscillatory kinetics of the Lüders front

The regularities of the inhomogeneous development of plastic deformation of Hadfield steel single crystals at the front of the Lüders strip at the flow area are considered. It has been established that the Lüders front under these conditions moves in steps. Such a character of motion is associated with the restructuring of the inhomogeneous distributions of the components of the plastic distortion tensor at the deformation front. A plausible estimate of the oscillation frequency was obtained with the development of the Lüders front.
