Luminescence YAG:Ce phosphors under uv laser irradiation
The spectral-kinetic characteristics of photoluminescence of the industrial YAG: Ce phosphors excited in the range of 4-6.415 eV using pulsed excimer and tunable lasers, and cathodoluminescence under irradiation by electron beam with an electron energy of 250 keV have been studied. With these methods of exposure phosphorus luminescent spectra consist of the band in the region of 560 nm due to Ce3+ ions and UV bands at 320 and 360-380 nm associated with intrinsic lattice defects. It has been shown that electron-hole pairs are created in the phosphorus matrix both under the influence of laser radiation at 193.3 nm (6.415 eV) and the influence of electron flux The processes of energy transfer to luminescence centers under optical excitation in the range of 4-6.415 eV are discussed.
