Optical ceramics formation processes in the field of a powerful radiation flux
On the example of YAG: Ce and MgF2: W materials, the advantages of the synthesis of optical ceramics in the field of a powerful flux of high-energy electrons are shown. It has been established that ionization processes are dominant in the synthesis. It is assumed that the high efficiency of the formation of a new phase is due to reactions between short-lived radiolysis products at an electron flux power density exceeding the threshold value.
