FEATURES CORRECTION OF VALGUS DEFORMITY OF THE KNEE IN ADULTS
The paper is devoted to the insufficiently studied problem of surgery orthopedics - treatment of hallux valgus deformity of the knee in adults. Despite the significant prevalence of this form of legs, surgical correction in adults is rare, about 15 times less than with varus deformity. The authors present the experience of treatment of 28 patients, 25 of whom deformation were two-sided, 3 - one-sided. All cases were performed subcondylar osteotomy of the tibia, followed by fixation using Ilizarov frame. At small values of the deformation corrective hip surgery have been unjustifiably risky because of possible specific complications. The peculiarity of surgical treatment is the so-called “open” high osteotomy and prevention of dislocation of the fibula. The indication for surgery is the asymmetry of the lower limbs, difficulty in the selection of clothing, as well as aesthetic problems. Condition of patient satisfaction with outcome of surgery is mandatory preoperative psychological preparation.
