MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TREATMENTOF ESOPHАGEAL POSTBURN STRICTURES
The experience of treating patients with postburn esophageal strictures using hydroballoon dilatators andendoscopic stenting is presented in the paper. Hydroballoon dilatation was performed in 35 patients using apparatus«Wilson-Cook». Investigation of short- and long- term results revealed that hydroballoon dilatation can be used asan alternative to standard bougieurage of esophagus. Endoscopic stenting is a new direction in treating patients withpostburn esophageal strictures.
