PREOPERATIVE LOCATION OF PERFORATOR ARTERIES BY USING INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY
This article describes a method and describes the experience of the application of infrared thermography for locating perforator arteries before performing reconstructive plastic surgery in 12 patients. In the comparison group, which included 22 patients, for a diagnostic purpose CT angiography was used. The authors argue that the diagnosis of perforators by using infrared thermography allows with sufficient accuracy define of perforators exit points in the cover tissues and can be a good alternative or complement to the already applied methods.
