STAGE MASCULINIZATION MAMMAPLASTY IN A TRANSSEXUAL HAVING HYPERMASTY (CLINICAL CASE)
A clinical case of masculinization mammaplasty is presented. Feature of the surgery is performing mammary gland amputation through mini - access in presence of significant breast size. After removal of glandular tissue through subareolar accesses, the skin excess was formed which we managed to significantly reduce using subsequent step by step ambulatory corrections. Throughout 1.5 years, we used excision of the excess skin, procedures of lipofilling and liposuction of chest wall and scars excision. As a result, we could achieve favorable aesthetic contour of the breast and to minimize postoperative scar. This approach differs from conventional hypermasty reduction which traditionally is performed using other types of masculinization mammaplasty, more often horizontal mammoplasty. Horizontal mammaplasty inevitably leads to the forming extended scars. Our stage excision technique allowed to form smooth surface of the chest wall having minimal postoperative scars.
