HISTORY OF SURGERY OF CONGENITAL HAND ANOMALIES

The paper is a brief journey into the history of formation and development of surgery of congenital hand anomalies. The historic information concerning the description of two most frequent congenital hand defects and stages of development of surgical methods is presented, along with the short biographies of some surgeons being major contributors to the development of this part of surgery.
